Documentary film-maker Alexis Agliano Sanborn will join us for a screening of her film "Nourishing Japan," which looks at the impact of recent changes in Japanese law that effect the way food is served at schools, as well as a panel discussion featuring Dr. Kathleen Porter, nutrition expert and Assistant Professor of Research for the UVA School of Medicine's Department of Public Health Sciences, Jordan Johnson (Garden Team Manager for the local Schoolyard Garden program); and Leon Nunez (Food Justice Associate for the same program, who came up through the city schools and has been working with the garden program since he was a middle school student).
