With support of the GEO, and in cooperation with the East Asia Center, the Media Studies Department, and the Miller Center, Professor Aynne Kokas created a speaker series open to both her students and the wider UVA community around her upper-division media studies course “Media in China: Technology, Policy, and Commerce.” The series of speakers will focus on bringing to Grounds Chinese studies faculty members who can become longer-term affiliates of the UVA East Asia Center to enhance UVA’s connectivity to the wider community of East Asianists, in the United States and East Asia.
