As part of a January Term course Game Change: Bridging the US-China Divide through Sport, 12 University of Virginia students retraced the steps of the 1971 United States table tennis team. The UVA students arrived in Hong Kong on January 2, traveled to Beijing and then to Shanghai for the 12-day J-term course. Along the way, they visited the Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, and Pearl Tower and played Ping Pong with Tsinghua University, Fudan University, and Shanghai University of Sport.
