The Miller Center will be hosting a wide-ranging conversation about how China is shaping the rules of regional and global order. An expert panel considers Isaac Kardon’s new book, 'China’s Law of the Sea: The New Rules of Maritime Order' (Yale University Press, 2023) as a starting point for this conversation.
Panelists include Delicia Gonzales Zimmerman, associate professor in the Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School, and Isaac Kardon, senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Aynne Kokas, East Asia Center director and the Miller Center's C. K. Yen Professor, will moderate the conversation.
This event is co-sponsored with the UVA East Asia Center and UVA Office of Engagement, and will be held Thursday, February 1, from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m., in-person at the Miller Center, with concurrent livestream.
