The UVA East Asia Center will be joined by Julie Starr, Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Hamilton College, for a talk discussing her recent book "Modified Bodies, Material Selves: Beauty Ideals in Post-Reform Shanghai." 

The event is free and open to the public, and will be held Friday, March 22, from 3:15 - 4:30 pm in Monroe 124.
