We are honored to host Emeritus Professor James J. Fox, of Australian National University, who will be presenting for the annual Coughlin lecture for the Nelson Lectures on Southeast Asia series. 

His talk "Perceptions from Below the Winds and Beyond: Reconsidering Southeast Asia Within the Indo-Pacific" will be held Thursday, November 11, 8:00 - 9:30 p.m. EST. All are welcome to attend this free online event, which will also feature a short panel discussion before audience Q&A. The panel will include Sylvia Tidey (UVA Professor of Anthropology), Deborah Lawrence (UVA Professor of Environmental Sciences) and Manuel Lerdau (UVA Professor of Environmental Sciences). The event will be moderated by Fred Damon (UVA Professor of Anthropology).
