10 Years of PhD in the Constructed Environment

The UVA School of Architecture will be celebrating ten years since the initial offering of the PhD in the constructed environment program, with a special anniversary event on Friday, September 20, held in Campbell 153, from 10:00 am - 4:45 pm. 

Shiqiao Li, Weedon Professor in Asian Architecture and Director of the School of Architecture's Doctoral Program, will be offering opening remarks, as well as moderating Discussion Session III: The Constructed Environment and Representation, from 3:15 - 4:45 pm.

Kaleidoscopic Shanghai: a Decade of Thinking the City

Kelly Ritter, Ph.D., Professor of Architectural History at Savannah College of Art and Design, drawing on Dr. Ritter's doctoral research on a 1930s Shanghai Pictorial called Modern Sketch.

Journey Through an Exhibition and Beyond
Dijia Chen, Ph.D., Lecturer in Architectural History and Theory at Melbourne School of Design, University of Melbourne, investigating a decade of exhibitions of Chinese contemporary architecture in Germany, from 2000-2010.
