The East Asia Center will be kicking off our 2024 Spring Speaker Series with a special event, held at the Colonnade Club. We will be hosting Rana Mitter, S.T. Lee Chair and Professor of US-Asia Relations at the Harvard Kennedy School. Professor Mitter, author of China’s Good War: How World War II is Shaping a New Nationalism, will be discussing related themes in his talk "Ideology, Identity, Internationalism: How the Postwar Shaped China’s Global Ambitions, 1945-49."
The event will be held Friday, January 26, beginning at 3:15 p.m.
Join us for the talk at the main floor of the Colonnade Club, located in Pavilion VII, on the West Lawn.
You're also invited to attend the Center's spring welcome reception at the Club, directly following the lecture's conclusion, from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public, so we look forward to seeing you then!
